Internship Opportunities
*Positions are currently unavailable, but you are encouraged to submit an application to be considered for future openings.*
We expect 10-20 hours during the academic year and 30-40 hours over the summer. We pay a competitive hourly rate for Civic Leadership Fellows and Summer Interns. Team members are expected to participate in weekly team Civic Leadership meetings once a week and a start-of-week meeting planning and coordination. Our goal is to prepare you to be the thoughtful, courageous, and dynamic servant/civic leaders that communities and the world need today.
The weekly 90-minute Civic Leadership meetings are held on a weekday evening and include time for reflection/meditation, a presentation by team leaders or Fellows, or a thought-provoking reading or video followed by a discussion. Topics range from how to center ourselves and managing anxiety to the state of DC education or U.S. democracy. All Fellows and Interns are expected to help with community outreach as well as taking on special projects.
